Ignition Coil(s) Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connectors.
2. Carefully release the number 1 spark plug wire from the clip on the number 2-3 ignition coil.
3. Remove the number 1 spark plug wire from the number 1-4 ignition coil.
4. Remove the number 3 spark plug wire from the number 2-3 ignition coil.
5. Remove the 2 bolts from each ignition coil.
6. Remove the ignition coils.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the ignition coils.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the 2 bolts to each ignition coil.

Tighten
Tighten the ignition coil bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the number 1 spark plug wire to the number 1-4 ignition coil.
4. Install the number 3 spark plug wire to the number 2-3 ignition coil.
5. Carefully secure the number 1 spark plug wire in the clip on the number 2-3 ignition coil.
6. Connect the ignition coil electrical connectors.
