TCS Modulator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the TCS motor pack electrical connector (3) from TCS modulator pack (2).
2. Remove all four brake lines (1), two from the ABS hydraulic modulator and two to the front wheel brakes.

Important: Place shop cloth on top of TCS Motor Pack unit to catch any dripping Brake Fluid. Take care not to allow any brake fluid to enter the bottom of the motor pack or the electrical connectors. Plug open brake lines to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

3. Remove the bolt (4) attaching TCS hydraulic modulator/motor pack assembly (2) to mounting bracket.
4. Lean TCS hydraulic modulator/motor pack assembly (2) forward and remove from bracket.

Installation Procedure
1. With the modulator positioned upside down and the gears facing you rotate each modulator gear clockwise until movement stops.
This procedure will cause the following conditions:
^ The pistons are positioned very close to the bottom of the modulator bore.
^ The brake bleeding procedure is simplified.

2. Install the motor pack (1) onto the modulator (6).
3. Install the gear cover (3) to the modulator/motor pack assembly.
