SIR Steering Wheel Module Coil - Disassemble

1. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Column Shift) or Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift) or Steering Column Trim Covers -Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Export).
2. Disconnect the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil connector from the turn signal switch assembly connector.





3. Remove the retaining ring (3) from the steering column shaft assembly by using snap ring pliers.
4. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (2) from the steering column shaft assembly.
5. Remove the wave washer (1) from the steering column shaft assembly.
