The antilock brake system indicator lamp serves as an indicator for the 4 wheel antilock brake system operation and malfunctions.

A bulb inspection is done each time you turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. The lamp should turn on, and remain on, for 2 seconds. In order to determine the specific cause of a system malfunction, refer to A Diagnostic System Check in ABS.
