Keyless Entry Receiver: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the nut (1) which secures the remote control door lock receiver bracket (2).
2. Reposition the receiver bracket (2) in order to access the remote control door lock receiver (6) mounting screws.




3. Remove the 2 retainers (2,4) which secure the remote control door lock receiver electrical connector (3).
4. Disconnect the receiver electrical connector (3).




5. Remove the following components from the remote control door lock receiver bracket (3):
^ The two screws (1)
^ The remote control door lock receiver (2)

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the remote control door lock receiver (2) to the mounting bracket (3). Secure the receiver with 2 screws (1).




2. Connect the receiver electrical connector (3).
3. Install the 2 retainers (2,4) which secure the remote control door lock receiver electrical connector (3).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.




4. Reposition the receiver bracket (2) back to its original position. Secure the receiver bracket with the retaining nut (1).

Tighten
Tighten the remote control door lock receiver bracket nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

5. Reprogram the remote control door lock receiver. Programming and Relearning
