Folding Top Weatherstrip Retainer Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Push in the folding top latch buttons (2).
2. Pull each latch (1) back.
3. Unhook each latch (1) from the front top bow.




4. Lift folding top #1 bow (4) to an upright position.




5. Unsnap the snap (3) which secures each tension strap (1) in order to release the tension on the front folding top material.




6. Remove the screw from each side which secures the front folding top material (1) to the front folding top weatherstrip retainer (2).
7. Fold the rear portion of the front folding top material (1) back in order to gain access to the front folding top weatherstrip retainer mounting screws.
8. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

1. The 4 screws
2. The front folding top weatherstrip retainer (2)




Installation Procedure





1. Install the front folding top weatherstrip retainer (2) to the vehicle. Secure the retainer with the 4 screws.
2. Install the front folding top material (1) to the front folding top weatherstrip retainer (2). Secure the material to the retainer with the 2 screws.




3. Snap the snap (3) which secures each tension strap (1).




4. Lower the folding top #1 bow.
5. Hook the folding top #1 bow to the folding top latches (1).
6. Push the latches (1) down until the latches click into place.
