Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
The engine oil pressure switch (2) is located in the engine block beneath the exhaust manifold and to the right of the exhaust manifold lower support bracket.
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Remove the 4 bolts (1,2,3,4) which secure the steering linkage skid plate (5), if equipped.
3. Remove the steering linkage skid plate (5) from the vehicle by sliding forward and lowering from the vehicle, if equipped.
4. Disconnect the engine oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
5. Remove the oil pressure sensor (2) from the block.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
1. Install the engine oil pressure sensor (2) to the block.
Tighten
Tighten the engine oil pressure sensor to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
2. Connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
3. Install the steering linkage skid plate (5) to the vehicle by raising and sliding rearward onto the retaining hook, if equipped. Secure the skid plate with the 4 bolts (1,2,3,4).
Tighten
Tighten the steering linkage skid plate bolts to 54 N.m (40 lb ft).
4. Lower the vehicle.
