Throttle Body Assembly Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the intake air inlet duct from the throttle body.
2. Remove the breather hose (1) from the throttle body.
3. Disconnect the TP sensor electrical connector (3).
4. Disconnect the IAC valve electrical connector (2).
5. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
6. Disconnect the lower coolant hose (1) from the throttle body.
7. Disconnect the upper coolant hose (2) from the throttle body.
8. Disconnect the accelerator control cable (1) from the throttle body by rotating the throttle lever (2) to WOT and removing the cable end from the slot.
9. Remove the two nuts/two bolts (1) from the throttle body.
10. Remove the throttle body (2) and gasket (3) from the intake manifold (4).
11. Clean any throttle body gasket (2) that remains on the intake manifold (1).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install a new gasket (3) and the throttle body (2) onto the intake manifold (4).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Secure the throttle body to the intake manifold with the two nuts/two bolts (1)
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
3. Connect the accelerator control cable (1) to the throttle lever (2). Adjust the accelerator control cable as necessary.
4. Connect the lower coolant hose (1) to the throttle body.
5. Connect the upper coolant hose (2) to the throttle body.
6. Connect the IAC valve electrical connector (2).
7. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector (3).
8. Connect the breather hose (1) to the throttle body.
9. Install the intake air inlet duct to the throttle body.
