Fuel Balance Pump

Fuel Balance Pump:

On vehicles equipped with dual fuel tanks, a fuel balance pump is located on the left frame rail. The fuel balance pump is powered by the fuel pump relay that is controlled by the ECM. Fuel is transferred from the auxiliary fuel tank to the primary fuel tank in order to ensure all of the usable fuel volume is available to the fuel injection pump.
