Fluid Replacement
Removal Procedure





1. If the fluid is contaminated use a suitable container under the transmission.
2. Remove the oil fill plug.
3. Remove the lower center PTO bolt.
4. Drain the fluid.

Installation Procedure





1. Apply a thin bead of sealant GM P/N 12345739 to the PTO cover bolt.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the cover bolt.
^ Tighten the bolt to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).





3. Fill. the transmission to the bottom of the oil fill plug hole.





4. Remove all of the existing sealant from the oil fill - plug hole.
5. Apply a thin bead of sealant GM P/N 12346004 to the treads of the oil fill plug hole.
6. Install the oil fill plug.
^ Tighten the oil fill plug to 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.).
