STEERING WHEEL CONTROL SWITCHES REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the horn switch plunger.
3. Remove the steering wheel control switch mounting screws.




4. Disconnect the steering wheel control switch electrical connector.
5. Remove the steering wheel control switch from the steering wheel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the electrical connector to the steering wheel control switch.
2. Install the steering wheel control switch to the steering wheel.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




3. Install the steering wheel control switch mounting screws.

Tighten
Tighten the mounting screws to 2 N.m (20 lb in).

4. Install the horn switch plunger.
5. Install the steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in Restraint Systems.
