Air Temperature Sensor Replacement - Lower
AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT - LOWERREMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disable the driver side airbag. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the left IP closeout insulator panel.
3. Remove the center closeout insulator panel bolt on the left side.
4. Pull back the closeout insulator panel in order to access the temperature sensor.
5. Remove the lower discharge air temperature sensor by turning the sensor counterclockwise from the floor air outlet.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
2. Install the lower discharge air temperature sensor by turning the sensor clockwise to the floor air outlet.
3. Install the center closeout insulator panel bolt on the left side.
4. Install the left IP closeout insulator panel.
5. Enable the driver side airbag. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
