Timing Chain Tensioner Installation (Crankshaft)





1. Hold back the latch, compress the plunger and install a retainer (a paper clip or similar tool) to hold the plunger in place.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the gasket and the timing chain tensioner. Secure with the 2 bolts (1).
Tighten the 2 bolts to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.).
3. Remove the retainer.
