Parking Brake Warning Switch: Service and Repair

Park Brake Warning Lamp Switch Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Release the park brake.





2. Remove the 4 screws (1, 3, 4, 6), the 2 clips (2, 5), and lift up the console.
3. If the vehicle has an automatic transmission, disconnect the power normal switch connector.
4. If the vehicle has an auxiliary power outlet, disconnect the auxiliary power outlet connector.





5. Disconnect the park brake switch connector (10).
6. Remove the screw and the park brake switch.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the park brake switch.
2. Install the screw in order to retain the switch to the lever assembly.





3. Connect the park brake switch connector (10).
4. Position the console over the shift knob.
5. If the vehicle has an auxiliary power outlet, connect the auxiliary power outlet connector.
6. If the vehicle has an automatic transmission, connect the power normal switch connector.





7. Install the 4 screws (1, 3, 4, 6) and 2 clips (2, 5).
