Backup Lamp Switch Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the backup lamp switch.




3. Remove the backup lamp switch (1) from the manual transmission upper case (2).
4. Inspect the backup lamp switch O-ring for cuts or damage. Replace the backup lamp switch O-ring if necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the backup lamp switch (1) to the manual transmission upper case (2).

Tighten
Tighten the backup lamp switch to 20 N.m (14 lb ft).




2. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the backup lamp switch.
3. Lower the vehicle.
