Display Test

Certain Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) features are tested when the ignition is turned on in order to verify the features are working properly. The following illuminate briefly or flash upon key up:
^ The ABS indicator
^ The AIR BAG indicator
^ The BRAKE indicator
^ The charge indicator
^ The CHECK GAGES indicator
^ The fasten safety belt indicator Illuminates for 20 seconds followed by 55 seconds of flashing when the drivers seatbelt is unfastened.
^ The SECURITY indicator
^ The SERVICE ENGINE SOON (MIL) indicator Remains on until the engine is started.
