Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement (Pickup)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE







1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe from the fuel feed/return and EVAP pipe assembly.







3. Disconnect the fuel tank EVAP pipe from the EVAP canister.







4. Disconnect the EVAP pipe from the EVAP canister.







5. Remove the EVAP canister bracket bolt.
6. Remove the EVAP canister.
7. Disconnect the EVAP pipe from the EVAP canister and retaining clip.
8. Remove the EVAP canister from the bracket.







INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the EVAP canister to the bracket.
2. Connect the EVAP pipe to the EVAP canister and retaining clip.
3. Install the EVAP canister.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions Fastener Notice.

4. Install the EVAP canister bracket bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to ...................................25 N.m (18 lb ft).







5. Connect the EVAP pipe to the EVAP canister.







6. Connect the fuel tank EVAP pipe to the EVAP canister.







7. Connect the EVAP pipe to the fuel feed/return and EVAP pipe assembly.
8. Lower the vehicle.
