Engine Flywheel Installation (Manual Transmission)

Tools Required
* J44643 Flywheel Hold Tool
* J36660-A Torque/Angle Meter





1. Install the pilot bearing in the flywheel.

Caution: When removing or installing the flywheel wear protective gloves. The teeth on the ring gear may be very sharp and may cut you.





2. Install the flywheel assembly.

Notice: This component uses bolts with a preapplied molybdenum disulfide coating for thread lubrication. Do not remove the coating or use any additional lubricant. Improperly lubricated threads will adversely affect the bolt torque and clamp load. Improper bolt torque and clamp load can lead to engine damage.

3. Loosely install NEW flywheel bolts.





4. Install the J44643 to hold the flywheel from rotating.
