Defroster Door Replacement (Visteon)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the HVAC module assembly. Service and Repair
2. Remove the HVAC module assembly screws.
3. Separate the HVAC module assembly.
4. Remove the mode actuator screws.
5. Remove the mode actuator (3).
6. Remove the mode actuator cam assembly (4).
7. Remove the defroster door lever (2).
8. Remove the defroster door (1).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the defroster door (1).
2. Install the defroster door lever (2).
3. Install the mode actuator cam assembly (4).
4. Install the mode actuator (3).
5. Install the mode actuator screws.
6. Install the mode actuator screws.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).
7. Install the HVAC module assembly halves.
8. Install the screws to the HVAC module assembly.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).
9. Install the HVAC module assembly.
