Channel Plate and Gasket Removal





1. Remove the ten channel plate bolts (8 and 25).

2. Notice:
Pry on the channel plate near locating dowel pins (45) to prevent damage to sealing surfaces.

Remove the channel plate assembly (27). Keep the following components with the channel plate:
^ The drive sprocket to channel plate thrust washer (34)
^ The three accumulator pistons (29)
^ The manual valve (800)
^ The detent lever spring (804) and bolt (805)
3. Remove and discard the channel plate to case gasket (28).
