Hood Hinge Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
3. Remove the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front (Service and Repair) .
4. Using a grease pencil or suitable marking device, mark the hood hinge to the body for ease of installation.




5. Remove the hood hinge to body fasteners.




6. Remove the hood hinge from the body.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the hood hinge to the body.




2. Install the hood hinge to body fasteners.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Align the hood hinge to the marks on the body.

Tighten the hood hinge to body fasteners to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Adjust the hood, as required. Refer to Hood Adjustment (Adjustments) .
6. Install the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front (Service and Repair) .
7. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
