Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper

TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) UPPER

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the left and right sunshades.
2. Remove the windshield upper garnish molding.
3. Remove the left and right windshield pillar garnish molding.
4. Remove the center instrument panel (I/P) trim panel.




5. Remove the 2 screws retaining the trim plate to the I/P.




6. Use a flat-bladed plastic tool to release the retaining clips.
7. Remove the ambient light sensor.
8. Remove the I/P trim plate from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the trim plate to the I/P




2. Install the ambient light sensor.
3. Install the I/P trim plate by engaging the retaining clips.




4. Install the 2 I/P trim plate fasteners.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the fasteners to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

5. Install the center instrument panel (I/P) trim panel.
6. Install the left and right windshield pillar garnish molding.
7. Install the windshield upper garnish molding.
8. Install the left and right sunshades.
