SEAT REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in Restraint Systems.

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

2. Remove the seat belt anchor bolt and remove the sets belt from the seat guide loop.
3. Raise the seat to maximum height.
4. Remove the seat mounting fastener covers.




5. Remove the 3 front seat mounting nuts.
6. Remove the front seat mounting bolt.
7. Disconnect the electrical harness. Unclip the harness from the seat bracket.
8. Disconnect the yellow SIR electrical connector.
9. Disconnect the seat belt buckle electrical connector.
10. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
11. Place the seat on a clean, prepared surface.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the seat to the vehicle.
2. Connect the electrical harness. Clip the harness to the seat bracket.
3. Connect the yellow SIR electrical connector.
4. Connect the seat belt buckle electrical connector.
5. Install the front seat mounting bolt. Do not tighten.
6. Install the 3 front seat mounting nuts on the floor studs.
- Tighten the front seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
- Tighten the front seat mounting bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

7. Feed the seat belt through the seat guide loop and install the seat belt anchor bolt.
8. Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in Restraint Systems.
