Seat Adjuster Mechanism Replacement - Power

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement (Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the front finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front) .
3. Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement) .
4. Remove the seat position switch. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Seat Position Sensor Replacement in SIR.




5. Remove the seat belt buckle bolt (2).
6. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement - Front (Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement - Front) .
7. Disconnect the black electrical connector from the seat back harness.
8. Disconnect the black electrical connector from the seat belt buckle.
9. Disconnect the gray lumbar electrical connector , if equipped.
10. Disconnect the seat harness connectors from the 3 seat motors. Note the black wire routes to the front motor, the yellow wire to the middle motor, and the red wire to the rear motor.
11. Remove the seat harness from the seat adjuster assembly.
12. Remove the SIR harness from the harness clips, and remove the SIR harness from the seat.




13. Remove the 2 bolts securing the recliner assembly to each side of the seat. Refer to Seat Back Recliner Replacement - Front (Seat Back Recliner Replacement - Front) .




14. Remove the 4 nuts that secure the seat cushion frame to the power seat adjuster frame.



Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the 2 bolts securing the recliner assembly to each side of the seat. Refer to Seat Back Recliner Replacement - Front (Seat Back Recliner Replacement - Front) .

Tighten the bolts to 26 N.m (19 lb ft).





2. Install the 4 nuts that secure the seat cushion frame to the power seat adjuster frame.

Tighten the nuts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the seat harness to the seat adjuster assembly.
4. Connect the seat harness connectors to the 3 seat motors. Note the black wire routes to the front motor, the yellow wire to the middle motor, and the red wire to the rear motor.
5. Install the SIR harness to the seat clips.
6. Connect the gray lumbar electrical connector, if equipped.
7. Connect the black electrical connector to the seat belt buckle.
8. Connect the black electrical connector to the seat back harness.
9. Install the seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement - Front (Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement - Front) .




10. Install the seat belt buckle to the seat with the bolt (2).

Tighten the bolt to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

11. Install the seat position switch. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Seat Position Sensor Replacement in SIR.
12. Install the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement) .
13. Install the front finish panel. Refer to Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front (Finish Panel Replacement - Front Seat - Front) .
14. Install the seat in the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement (Seat Replacement) .
15. If the vehicle is equipped with memory seats, calibrate the seat. Refer to Memory Seat Calibration Procedure () .
