Support Cable Replacement - Endgate

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Lower the endgate.
3. Support the endgate.




4. While supporting the endgate, remove the endgate support cable fastener from the body.




5. While supporting the endgate, remove the endgate support cable fastener from the endgate.




6. Remove the endgate support cable from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the endgate support cable onto the endgate.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the endgate support cable fastener to the endgate.

Tighten the endgate striker fasteners to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





3. Install the endgate support cable fastener to the body.

Tighten the endgate support cable fastener to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Close the rear compartment lid.
5. Close the endgate.
