Mainshaft Rear Oil Seal Replacement

Tools Required
^ J6125-1B Slide Hammer
^ J23129 Universal Seal Remover
^ J44765 Seal Installer

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the propeller shaft.
3. Using the J6125-1B and the J23129, remove the transmission case extension seal (1).

Installation Procedure





1. Important: Install the seal onto the tool before installing into the case to prevent damage to the seal.

Using J44765, install the new transmission case extension seal (1).
2. Install the propeller shaft.
3. Lower the vehicle.
