Transmission Vent Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the propeller shaft.
3. Support the transmission with a suitable jack.
4. Remove the transmission support.
5. Lower the jack to gain access to the top of the transmission.
6. Remove the retaining bolt (1) for the vent tube.
7. Remove the vent tube (2) from the vent pipe.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the vent tube (2) to the vent pipe.

2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the retaining bolt for the vent hose (1).
Tighten the retaining bolt to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).
3. Raise the jack.
4. Install the transmission support.
5. Remove the jack.
6. Install the propeller shaft.
7. Lower the vehicle.
