DTC Descriptor
DTC P061A
- Control Module Torque Performance
DTC P061B
- Control Module Torque Calculation Performance
Circuit/System Description
This diagnostic applies to internal microprocessor integrity conditions within the hybrid powertrain control module. The hybrid powertrain control module monitors its ability to read and write to the memory. The hybrid powertrain control module processor monitors the data to verify that the indicated torque calculation is correct. The hybrid powertrain control module is located within the drive motor generator power inverter module and is not serviceable separately.
Conditions for Running the DTC
P061A
* The system voltage is 8-18 V.
* Regenerative braking torque is greater than 0 Nm.
P061B
* The system voltage is 8-18 V.
* Any output or brake torque is present.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
P061A
The control module has detected the internal software calculation for regenerative braking torque has an error of greater than 100 Nm.
P061B
The control module has detected a torque calculation error.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* DTCs P061A and P061B are Type A DTCs.
* The hybrid powertrain control module commands the battery energy control module to open the high voltage contactor relays.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
DTCs P061A and P061B are Type A DTCs.
Diagnostic Aids
A reduced hybrid battery power condition is most noticeable during high electrical loads such as Autostop to Autostart transitions. Inspect for hybrid battery DTCs or conditions that would reduce available hybrid battery power such as:
* Hybrid Battery Module undervoltage / P0AFA and various DTCs
* Hybrid Battery Module overvoltage / various DTCs
* Hybrid Battery Module voltage variation / P0AFA, P0BBD
* Hybrid Battery overtemperature / P0C32
* Hybrid Battery exposure to extreme cold
