Fuel Pressure Control Module: Service and Repair




Compressed Natural Gas Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning Service Precautions.


1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.

2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

3. Remove the mid ship tank cover. Refer to Compressed Natural Gas Tank Cover Replacement - Midship Tank Compressed Natural Gas Tank Cover Replacement - Midship Tank





4. Remove the 3 electrical connectors from the FCM.

5. Remove the 2 FGCM mounting bracket bolts and 2 nuts.

6. Pull the FGCM out from behind the bracket while pulling the connectors through the bracket.

Installation Procedure

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install FGCM onto bracket while pulling connectors through bracket opening one by one.

2. Install the 2 FGCM mounting bracket bolts and tighten to 1.5 Nm (13 lb in).

3. Connect the 3 electrical connectors to the FGCM.

4. Install the mid ship tank cover. Refer to Compressed Natural Gas Tank Cover Replacement - Midship Tank Compressed Natural Gas Tank Cover Replacement - Midship Tank

Warning:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning Service Precautions.


5. Install the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
