24. Engine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection

Engine Flywheel Cleaning and Inspection





1. Clean the flywheel (1) in solvent.

Warning:
Refer to Safety Glasses Warning Safety Glasses Warning.


2. Dry the flywheel with compressed air.





3. Inspect the automatic transmission flywheel (1) for the following:

* Damaged ring gear teeth

* Stress cracks around the flywheel-to-crankshaft bolt hole locations

* Weight saving holes
