During production, the Transaxle Identification Number (TIN) is stamped on a boss located on the transaxle housing, Fig. 1. In addition to the TIN, each transaxle carries an assembly part number which is on a pad just above the oil pan at the rear of the transaxle. This assembly number must be referenced when ordering transaxle replacement parts.
