Exhaust Manifold

CLEANING
Remove the gasket material from the manifold surfaces (if equipped). Be careful not to gouge or scratch the sealing surface.

Inspect exhaust manifolds for damage or cracks and check distortion of the cylinder head mounting surface and exhaust cross-over mounting surface with a straightedge and thickness gauge (Fig. 97).
