FLASHER DIAGNOSIS
Should any function of the multi-function switch fail, the entire switch assembly must be replaced (Refer to ELECTRICAL/LAMPS/LIGHTING - EXTERIOR/MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH - REMOVAL).
SWITCH DIAGNOSIS
Fig. 27 Battery Negative Cable Remove/Install:
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
Multi-Function Switch Continuity Test:

3. Disconnect the switch connector. Using an ohmmeter, test for continuity between the terminals of the switch as shown in the MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST table for diagnosis. Refer to (Fig. 28), (Fig. 29), and (Fig. 30) for connector terminal locations.
