Convertible Top Relay: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Start with the folding top in the raised and latched position.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Remove the rear seat back.
4. Remove the well liner/carpet from the power top well.
5. Remove the foam pump cover from over the motor/hydraulic pump.

Motor/Hydraulic Pump Assembly:

6. Disconnect the motor/hydraulic pump relay wire harness connector.
7. Depress the relay retaining tab and remove the relay from the bracket.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the motor/hydraulic pump relay onto the relay bracket and push into place so that the retaining tab is fully seated.

Motor/Hydraulic Pump Assembly:

2. Connect the motor/hydraulic pump relay wire harness connector.
3. Install the foam pump cover.
4. Install the well liner/carpet into the power top well.
5. Install the rear seat back.
6. Connect the battery negative cable.
7. Verify normal power top system operation.
