Should any function of the multi-function switch fail, the entire switch assembly must be replaced.
SWITCH DIAGNOSIS
Battery Negative Cable Remove/Install:
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
3. Disconnect the switch connector.
Multi-Function Switch Continuity Test Part 1:
Multi-Function Switch Continuity Test Part 2:
Combination Flasher Connector (A):
Multi-Function Switch Connector (B):
Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch Connector (C):
Using an ohmmeter, test for continuity between the terminals of the switch as shown in the MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST table for diagnosis. Refer to images for connector terminal locations.
