Weatherstrip - Quarter Panel Outer Belt - Convertible
WEATHERSTRIP - QUARTER PANEL OUTER BELT - CONVERTIBLEREMOVAL
1. Lower the convertible top.
2. Remove the rear quarter panel trim. Refer to Trim Panel.
3. Remove inner quarter panel weatherstrip (2) from the quarter panel inner flange (1) by carefully puling upward on the weatherstrip.
4. Adjust the convertible top open/close to access the four screws (2) that secure the quarter panel outer belt weatherstrip (1).
5. Remove the four screws that secure the quarter panel outer belt weatherstrip to the quarter panel (3) and remove the weatherstrip.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the quarter panel outer belt weatherstrip (1) to the quarter panel (3).
2. Adjust the convertible top open/close to access the four screws (2) that secure the quarter panel outer belt weatherstrip.
NOTE: Make sure to press down on the quarter panel outer belt weatherstrip while tightening the screws.
3. Install the four screws that secure each quarter panel outer belt weatherstrip while pressing down on the weatherstrip. Install and tighten the screws to 2.2 N.m (20 in. lbs.) in the following order:
a. 1st (front)
b. 4th (back)
c. 3rd (second from back)
d. 2nd (second from front).
4. Install the inner quarter panel weatherstrip (2) onto the quarter panel inner flange (1) by pressing firmly downward on the weatherstrip.
5. Install the rear quarter panel trim.
6. Raise the convertible top. Make sure the weatherstrip is sealing properly and does not interfere with convertible top operation.
