Front Fender: Service and Repair

FENDER - FRONT

REMOVAL




1. Remove the headlamp housing from the side of the vehicle being serviced.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. If servicing the right front fender, remove the right side rail splash shield.
4. Remove the front wheelhouse splash shield from the side of the vehicle being serviced. Refer to Front Fender Liner.
5. If servicing the right front fender, remove the antenna body and cable.
6. Remove the three fender to fascia nuts. Refer to Front Bumper.
7. Remove the two bolts (4) that secure the bottom of the front fender (3) to the lower rocker panel.
8. Remove the bolt (5) that secures rear of the front fender to the side cowl panel.
9. Remove the nut (6) that secures the front of the front fender to the frame support bracket (7).
10. Remove the three bolts (2) that secure the top of the front fender to the three spring nuts (1) and remove the fender.

INSTALLATION




1. Position the front fender (3) to the vehicle.
2. Loosely install the three bolts (2) that secure the top of the front fender to the three spring nuts (1).
3. Starting at the center bolt, tighten the three bolts that secure the top of the front fender to the three spring nuts.
4. Install the nut (6) that secures the front of the front fender to the frame support bracket (7).
5. Install the bolt (5) that secures rear of the front fender to the side cowl panel.
6. Install the two bolts (4) that secure the bottom of the front fender to the lower rocker panel.
7. Install the three fender to fascia nuts.
8. If servicing the right front fender, install the antenna body and cable.
9. Install the front wheelhouse splash shield.
10. If servicing the right front fender, install the right side rail splash shield.
11. Lower the vehicle.
12. Check fender for flush and gap and adjust as necessary.
13. Install the headlamp housing.
