Installation

INSTALLATION




1. When installing the left side fender, position the fender onto the Front End Sheet Metal mounting hydroform and slide under the power distribution center.

2. When installing the right side fender, position the fender onto the FESM mounting hydroform and slide under the battery tray and air cleaner mounting brackets.





NOTE: Tighten the fender fasteners only after all fasteners are installed loosely and fender is adjusted for gap and flush, using the sequence provided at the end of the installation procedure.

3. Loosely install the upper FESM mounting bolts.




4. Loosely install the bolt attaching the rear upper fender to the hood hinge.




5. Loosely install the bolt attaching the rear upper fender to the A-pillar.




6. Loosely install the two bolts located in the headlamp opening.




7. Loosely install the bolt located inside the wheel well.




8. Loosely install the two lower bolts located at the A-pillar.




9. Check the fender positioning and adjust as required by adding shims.

10. Tighten the fender bolts to 8 Nm (75 in. lbs.) using the sequence shown.




11. When installing the left side fender, install the power distribution center bolts (1) to the FESM (2) and tighten to 11 Nm (100 in. lbs.).




12. When installing the right side fender, install the battery tray bolts and tighten to 11 Nm (100 in. lbs.).

13. Install the air cleaner mounting bolts and tighten to 10 Nm (85 in. lbs.).

14. Install the cowl grille.

15. Install the wheelhouse splash shield.

16. Install the headlight assembly.

17. Install the grille.
