Structural Dust Cover - Removal

REMOVAL




1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove steering gear to frame mounting fasteners, and lower steering gear enough for structural cover removal.
3. Remove the transfer case, (if equipped).
4. Remove the bolts retaining structural cover (1).
5. Remove transmission mount to crossmember fasteners.
6. Using suitable jack, lift transmission enough to gain clearance for structural cover removal.
7. Remove the structural cover.
