Camshaft sprocket-Bolt 122 Nm (90 ft. lbs.)

Cylinder Head Bolts






Step 1: Snug Tighten, In-Sequence
M12 Cylinder Head Bolts 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.)
M8 Cylinder Head Bolts 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
Step 2: Tighten, In-Sequence
M12 Cylinder Head Bolts 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.)
M8 Cylinder Head Bolts, Verify To 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
Step 3: - Turn, In-Sequence
M12 Cylinder Head Bolts 90 degrees
M8 Cylinder Head Bolts 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.)


Intake Manifold
Install intake manifold retaining bolts, and tighten in sequence from the middle bolts towards the outside in a crisscross pattern.
Torque fasteners to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.).









Exhaust Manifold to Cylinder Head 25 Nm (220 in. lbs.)

Cylinder Head Warpage (Flatness)
Inspect the cylinder head for out-of-flatness, using a straightedge and a feeler gauge.
If tolerances exceed 0.0508 mm (0.002 in.) replace the cylinder head.
