Power Seat Switch: Testing and Inspection
DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - POWER SEAT SWITCH
Before any testing of the power seat system is attempted, the battery should be fully-charged. Refer to the appropriate wiring information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, proper wire and connector repair procedures, further details on wire harness routing and retention, as well as pin-out and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds.
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the power seat switch from the outboard seat cushion side shield.
3. Use an ohmmeter to test the continuity of the power seat switch in each switch position. See the Power Seat Switch Continuity chart . If OK,refer to Power Seat testing. If not OK, replace the inoperative power seat switch.
