Condition - Slapping Noise Between Door and Quarter Glass With the Top Down During Driving

GLASS ALIGNMENT DIAGNOSIS

CONDITION - SLAPPING NOISE BETWEEN THE DOOR AND QUARTER GLASS WITH THE TOP DOWN DURING DRIVING OF THE VEHICLE





1. Verify that the door glass and quarter glass adjustment procedures have been checked.

2. Drop top.

3. Adjust cross car screw (8) to add additional interference between the door glass and the quarter glass sash seal at the belt line when in the full up position. Cross car measurement should be between 2 to 3 mm of the quarter glass under flush to the door glass.

4. Verify with drive evaluation on rough road that issue has been resolved and verify quarter glass cycling time unchanged and no stalling of regulator.
