Driver Door Lock Switch Inoperative
*DRIVER DOOR LOCK SWITCH INOPERATIVE

NOTE: This test is only for vehicles that have the Base (not express up) Power Window System.
Diagnostic Test
1. (G775) LEFT DOOR LOCK SWITCH RETURN CIRCUIT OPEN
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch C2 connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, check the (G775) Left Door Lock Switch Return circuit
Does the Test Light illuminate brightly?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
NOTE: The (G775) Left Door Lock Switch Return circuit passes through the Door Module to ground.
Repair the (G775) Left Door Lock Switch Return circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
2. DOOR LOCK SWITCH SHORTED
Measure the voltage of the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.
Is the voltage approximately 5.0 volts?
Yes
- Replace the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Testing and Inspection
No
- Go To 3
3. (G161) LEFT DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Door Module C2 connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.
Is the resistance below 10000.0 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
No
- Go To 4
4. (G161) LEFT DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT OPEN
Measure the resistance of the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit between the Door Module C2 connector and the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
No
- Repair the (G161) Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
Yes
- Replace the Instrument Cluster.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
