INSTALLATION

Non-Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV)





1. Position the seat into the vehicle and engage the inboard hinge (2).
2. Rotate the seat down and engage the outboard hinge (1).





3. Insert the hinge spring (1) and the pin (2).





4. Turn the hinge pin (3) and engage into the retaining tabs (2).

HEV Vehicles





WARNING: On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury

1. Load the seat (2) into the vehicle through the rear door over the 300 Volt battery (4).
2. Position the seat (2) forward of the striker, then fold and tumble the seat (2) forward.
3. Position the seat and mounting holes to the mating holes in floor pan.
4. Install the front bolts (1) loosely in sequence.
a. Install the front right hand bolt - 1st.
b. Install the front left hand bolt - 2nd.

NOTE: No sequence is required for the remaining fasteners.

5. Tighten the front fasteners (1) using the following sequence shown in the figure to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
a. Tighten the front right hand bolt - 1st.
b. Tighten the front left hand bolt - 2nd.

NOTE: No sequence is required for the remaining fasteners.

6. Tighten the rear fasteners (3) to 49 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).
7. Tumble the seat back to the folded position, (verify that the latches are engaged), then position the seat to the seating position.

NOTE: Note if the seat will not fold to the seating position, do not force the seat, (latches are not engaged) re-tumble seat and engage latches to striker.
