B1806-PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW
- When Monitored:
Continuously
- Set Condition:
When the Right Door Lock Switch Mux circuit is below 0.25 volts for over 10 seconds, this code will set.
Theory of Operation
For a Right Hand Drive (RHD) vehicle, this DTC will refer to the Right Door.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
2. Operate the Right Door Lock Switch in all positions several times.
3. Cycle the ignition from on to off.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display B1806-PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
2. DOOR LOCK SWITCH SHORTED
1. With the scan tool, erase DTC's.
2. Disconnect the Right Door Lock Switch connector.
3. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display B1806- PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW?
No
- Replace the Right Door Lock Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
Yes
- Go To 3
3. (P696) RIGHT DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT PARTIAL SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Cluster C2 connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (P696) Right Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.
Is the resistance below 10,000.0 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P696) Right Door Lock Switch Mux circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
No
- Replace the Instrument Cluster.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
