B1852-DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH STUCK
- When Monitored:
Continuously
- Set Condition:
When the (D506) LIN Bus circuit at the Window Switch is held in the Driver Window value for over 10 seconds, this code will set.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
3. Operate the Window Switch several times.
4. Cycle the ignition from on to off.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display B1852 DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH STUCK?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
2. SWITCH SHORTED
1. With the scan tool, erase DTC's.
2. Disconnect the Window Switch connector.
3. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display B1852 DRIVER WINDOW SWITCH STUCK?
No
- Replace the Window Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
Yes
- Go To 3
3. (D506) LIN BUS CIRCUIT PARTIAL SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Cluster C3 connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (D506) LIN Bus circuit.
Is the resistance below 10,000.0 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (D506) LIN Bus circuit for a partial short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
No
- Replace the Instrument Cluster.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
