P0633-SKIM KEY NOT PROGRAMMED IN PCM
- When Monitored:
Ignition on.
- Set Condition:
The SKIM Key information has not been programmed into the PCM. One Trip Fault. Three good trips to turn off the MIL.
Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting Procedure.
PROGRAMMING SKIM KEY INTO THE PCM
NOTE: Do not clear the DTC before programming the SKIM Key information. Clearing the DTC may result in the PCM becoming unable to learn the SKIM Key and lead to an unnecessary PCM replacement.
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Using the scan tool, program the SKIM Key information into the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) using the PCM Replaced function in the Wireless Control Module (WCM).
3. Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature.
NOTE: If the engine will not start, crank the engine over for 15 seconds. Crank at least two times with the ignition switch returning to the off position each time.
4. Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.
5. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display P0633?
Yes
- Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Powertrain Verification Test.
No
- Test complete.
