Cylinder Head Assembly

CYLINDER HEAD





Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the sequence shown. Using the 4 step torque-turn method, tighten according to the following values:
First: All 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.)
Second: All 82 Nm (60 ft. lbs.)
Third: All 82 Nm (60 ft. lbs.)

CAUTION: Do not use a torque wrench for the Fourth step.

Fourth: Turn all bolts an additional 1/4 Turn


HEAD BOLT REUSE/REPLACE

The Cylinder head bolts should be examined BEFORE reuse. If the threads are necked down, the bolts should be replaced.

SURFACE VARIATION

Cylinder head must be flat within 0.1 mm (0.004 in.).

CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP





Camshaft Bearing Caps(M6) 2-5, right #6 12 Nm (105 in. lbs)
Camshaft Bearing Caps(M8) 1 & 6 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.)
