REMOVAL

NOTE: Right seat shown in illustrations. Left seat similar.





1. Remove the seat from the vehicle and place it on a workbench.
2. Remove the seat side shields Seat Riser Latch Link - Removal.
3. Remove the seat cushion side shields Seat Cushion Side Shields - Removal.
4. Remove the seat back Seat Back - Removal.
5. If equipped with heated seats, remove the two screws (2) that secure the electrical contact (4) to the outboard seat riser (3) and disengage the wire harness retainers (5) from the riser and the pivot mechanism (1).






NOTE: Outboard side of seat shown. Inboard side similar. Illustration shown with seat back and hinges removed for clarity.

6. Remove the four nuts (4) that secure each seat track (2) to the pivot mechanism (3).
7. Remove the seat tracks and eight spacers (1) from the pivot mechanism.





8. Remove the eight spacers (6) from the mounting studs on the seat tracks (1 and 5).
9. Disengage the J-hook retainer (8) that secures the seat cushion cover to the rear of the seat cushion frame (7).
10. Disengage the four J-hook retainers (2 and 4) that secure the seat cushion cover to the sides of the seat cushion frame.
11. Disengage the J-hook retainer (3) that secures the seat cushion cover to the front of the seat cushion frame.
12. Remove the seat cushion and cover from the seat cushion frame.
13. If equipped with heated seats, disconnect the seat cushion wire harness connector located at the rear of the seat frame.





14. Disengage the seat cushion support (1) from the six retaining tabs (9) located on the seat cushion frame (2) by using a small punch or similar tool as a lever. Place the punch or tool through the six holes in the support and into the corresponding holes in the seat cushion frame, then stretch the support off the retaining tabs.
15. Remove the six bolts (3, 4 ,8 and 10) that secure the seat tracks to the bottom of the seat cushion frame and remove the tracks from the frame.
