Interior Lighting - Description

DESCRIPTION

Depending on the lighting package that the vehicle is equipped with, the interior illumination is provided by the use of incandescent and LED pods. There are courtesy/map LED pods provided in the front and rear overhead consoles, along with Halo backlighting. Both front doors are equipped with Courtesy/Map lamps that are dual function. The lower portion of the LED pod will illuminate the map pocket on the door when the vehicle is running and when the headlamps are on. The front portion of the Courtesy/Map LED pod will illuminate when the doors are opened or when the courtesy lamp thumb wheel on the headlamp switch is utilized. The rear overhead HALO backlighting is also on when the headlamps are on and will illuminate when the doors are opened. Both front the rear overhead consoles are equipped with Courtesy/Reading LED pods. These also illuminate with door opening or by using the thumb wheel on the headlamp switch. They can also be utilized as a reading lamp by depressing the center of the lamp. When the door is closed, both the Halo and courtesy lighting fade to off. The LED pods time out before the Halo backlighting does. For further description of what lamps are LED and which ones are incandescent, refer to the Specification table.
